Does any one with a new ZX14R know if previous year screen will fit? My bike will be here in the next week or two and I am picking up a few bits and pieces.

You sure about that? Take a good look at the windscreen on my bike that is being Dyno tested...

Thanks for the response guys. Only mildly confused now. I had a Puig on my 08 and liked it. Where did you buy yours Seno? I figure if I buy the same one all should be good.
Snuffy, what brand were you trying to fit?
Thanks for the welcome. This will be my third 14. Had one of the first ones back in 06, and then an 08. Haven't been on the forums for a while. New bike, new screen name!!

I ordered it from LI Kawasaki (516)935-6969, $85 plus shipping. I deal with Mike (in parts & service) or Bill usually, both really good guys.

Hey Guys
When I tried to fit a Lockhart Phillips double bubble and the lower bolts lined up ok but when it got to the top I had to much space and didnt want to force the issue....Now that I think about it the Lockhart was not a 100% fit on my 07 so maybe its the brand?
I really want the MRA touring screen the same one that was on my 07 when I traded it.
On the Kawasaki site they used to sell a touring screen for the 06-11 that had a flared lip on it to deflect the wind and 2 holes through it to help buffer the air. The MRA screen that twisted throttle sells is the same exact screen exept that where Kawi has Kawasaki inscribed it says MRA.
When I checked the Kawi USA site they dont mention anything about that screen for the 2012....but when You check Kawi Europe they have that very same screen under accessories for the ZZR1400 and it says coming soon. So my question is if it old screen fits then why does it say coming soon?
If Seno says the Puig fits then it fits no doubt there.
To put this to bed, later I will dig out the original stock screen from my 07 and check that for fit on the 14R and if that fits then I'm ordering my MRA today!

OK Guys I Stand Corrected!
But the Fit is not 100% with the Lockhart Philips screen maybe puig is a better fit? Take a look at the 2nd picture U can see its not sitting flush with the front fairing.
Side By Side the Stock screen of the 14R is the same as the stock screen from the 2007.

I've got that MRA screen here...I didn't want to change anything just yet...except the hard stuff! But if you want...I'll see if my MRA(which is that one on the Kawi site BTW)will fit.Shall I do that now?...okay..here goes.
Alright...the MRA fits perfectly.Same holes and all...HOWEVER...I'm a bit leary of removing the well nuts from the 14R screen...they appear to have a molded plastic something IN the wellnut itself?IDK what it is.SNUFFY....????You changed your well-nuts?What's up with these new fasteners?

......the fitment is excellent. The curved lip will go past the stock fairing...but IMO doesn't take away from the lines. And as for those wellnuts...they have definitely been redesigned with a 'shape' which corresponds to the fairing hole design.I left them in the "new" zx14R screen, and used some other wellnuts for the MRA.They worked just fine. That's the MRA 'spoiler screen' model.
If you're gonna do something like this...I would say...make sure you use the clear plastic washers on those bolts.Metal to plastic contact could damage that design Kawi put in there. And I wouldn't get to cranking those down either.Snug is all I did with mine.

You know...the more I think about this...I have to ask...WHY did Kawasaki change something so apparently 'simple' as a wellnut mount point.Honestly...I mean...look at the holes(where the bolt goes through the fairing)....wouldn't a 'normal' bolt hole be fine?Kinda weird actually.I never had any issues with wellnuts on my other baby.I can't even think of what kind of issue there could be? I think maybe we all agree...Kawasaki doesn't just 'change' something or design something without a particular 'purpose' in mind, right? So what gives? Those wellnut holes ARE different.VERY actually. For one thing...they don't 'turn' in the hole.At least mine didn't.I couldn't even get em out!(of the windscreen)I certainly didn't want to break anything.
I may end up returning my zx14R windscreen BACK on there.God knows WHAT might happen with something different?
In fact...I am gonna return my stock screen on there right now. There's a reason they designed it the way they did.I aint gonna mess with it.Gonna contact Kawasaki and ask em about it first.Never seen anything so subtle as this...a bolt hole shape as these are.The two midholes...they're different. And those four 'lower' wellnuts...have that same square shape to the mating surface .
You guys don't suppose maybe that anything other than the factory screen might just rip off of there while accelerating do ya?

I like that MRA screen, chrome looks cool but not on a Caucasian's motorcycle (no offense brothers). The well nuts were different with that ridge on them, a few of mine were a bitch to get out. Puig was a perfect fit, BTW there was a thread on one of the forums discussing the fit from various manufacturers. Both look cool, if the well nuts are tight spray some window cleaner in them.... Lube it up and it goes right in ;-)

Looks good Seno! She's a beaut!I'll probably give my MRA a whirl later on.It does fit perfectly on there. But in the few short rides I got in(85 miles)...the stock screen I gotta say was superb at directing the wind off of me.The front cowling shape really makes a difference with this new bird.
